This year I visited Europe with my family. Our first stop was Disneyland, Paris. As soon as I reached there, I was astonished by the beauty of the surroundings. Disney land was decorated with lights. The streets in Paris were clean like our drawing room. Citizens and tourists were observing great discipline in maintaining the beauty of the country by not littering anything. The best thing about France was that I was able to test my French language skills. I thoroughly enjoyed conversing in French with the netizens.
Disneyland has two parks i.e. Walt Disney Studios and Disney Park. Both parks were quite exciting but the sad part was that there were long queues, but after taking the ride we used to forget all the pain of standing in queues and enjoyed it a lot.
The next day we went to the Eiffel Tower which was made by Stephen Souvestre, Maurine Koechlin and Emile Nouguier who were the architects for making the world’s tallest building in 1889. We also visited the magnificent Palace of Versailles and the Louvre Museum where the famous painting Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinci is showcased. Arc De Triomphe resembled to India Gate in New Delhi, India.
Thereafter we went to Zurich, Switzerland by euro train. It was a bullet train. The best thing I liked was the wi-fi connection on the train. We thoroughly enjoyed and watched various shows on my tablet during the journey.
The train completed its journey at Zurich HB station. We made a hurried transfer and reached Zurich Wiedikon station, which was hardly 5 minutes away from our apartment. As soon as we stepped out of the railway station we were shocked to see more trams and buses than cars. Zurich has a beautiful network of trams. Our Swiss pass offered unlimited travel in trams, buses and trains.
The milieu in Zurich was quite relaxing and I felt like not leaving from there. The best part of the trip was that Indian food and Indian restaurants were easily available everywhere. A big thanks to restaurant Kailash Parwat in Zurich which served us authentic Indian food.
From Zurich, we travelled to Mount Titlis. We reached the Engelberg station. From there, a bus dropped up near the cable car or gondola ride stop. The gondola ride was amazing. I saw snow for the first time in my life that was a feeling that I never experienced before. Mount Titlis had many activities like sledging, snowball fighting, snowboarding, and ice flyer. Climbing on the mountain was the most difficult part as the altitude was very high around ten thousand feet. But still, we all enjoyed a lot. We came down by a cable car and bought many souvenirs for our family and friends which I was excited about.
The next day we went to Luzern and enjoyed a cruise ride. The chapel bridge is a beautiful spot in Luzern. The visit to Interlaken was a little difficult. Travelling with luggage in Swiss trains is difficult as the available storage space gets hurriedly occupied. We were constrained to upgrade our tickets to first class due to this constraint.
Interlaken is majestic. After reaching Interlaken, we saw the most mind-blowing natural beauty of nature. Our hotel had contactless check-in. Though we struggled a bit, it was a wonderful experience to learn new nuances of technology. Harde Klum was the best site in interleken. In felt in clouds. The train which takes you there runs practically at 90 degrees vertically and was a lifetime experience for me.
Thereafter, we went to Mount Jungfrau. The weather was not good on our day of visit. But the flip sight was that there was an opportunity to see snowfall. I was excited. When we reached the cliff or plateau area the snowstorm started. We felt so lucky to feel snow oring on us. Thereafter due to security reasons, the area was closed. My father was very cautious about all of us and was constantly reminding us not to go near the edge of the snow even though I was standing at a sufficient distance. There was one sad experience also. Due to bad weather, our paragliding booking got cancelled and the craving is still unsated. But my father smartly compensated us by taking us to Rope Park in Interlaken. It was better than my expectations. They have converted a jungle into a rope park. The activities were fantastic, especially the Zipline. I was amazed to see that my younger brother Saahir is a courageous boy. He fished the toughest Ziplines easily and without any hesitation.
The next destination was London, United Kingdom I have read that in the United Kingdom empire, the sun never used to set. The entry signages at the Airport disturbed me a bit because citizens of some limited countries were given preference over the other. However, the officials at the London Airport were quite welcoming. From the Airport, we straight away went to Sarvana Bhawan to enjoy some Indian Vegetarian food. London is a busy city. After visiting Switzerland the rush in London was pricking me as a tourist. London Eye, Big Ben, Parliament Square and the London Bridge were beautiful places to visit. Shopping in Bicester Village and Oxford Street added icing on the cake. At the end of the trip, I started feeling nostalgic about my home and country.
When we reached India, I was really happy and excited to meet my grandparents and friends. But suddenly, when I saw littering on the roadsides and high noise pollution I got disturbed. Everyone in Europe makes an earnest effort to keep their city clean. No one honks unnecessarily or there is honking in the rarest cases only. In India, we have to make a long journey in this direction. I shared my anxiety in this regard with my parents and they guided me to educate people around me. I have discussed this issue with my friends in school. All of them are convinced that there needs to be a drive to stop unnecessary honking and littering on roads. We have decided to sensitize our parents and neighbours in this regard. We will request them to further sensitize their office colleagues and friends to continue this chain reaction.
We do not know how much time it will take to wake up the morality in people to keep the study clean. But at least I feel we have triggered this humble initiative and the spark will ignite the minds of countrymen. Jai Hind!
